Our Accident Investigation training program is designed to provide participants with the ability to effectively perform an accident investigation in compliance with the OHSA. This course will ensure participants understand the process of collecting facts to determine the cause of an accident through evidence and interviews, and focus the investigation on the cause of the accident rather than the injury.

Participants will learn about the categories of accident causes, common causes of workplace accident, how to conduct witness interviews, how to collect evidence, the required documentation and creating a final accident report.

Ergonomics

Infection Control in Construction

Due to poor sanitary conditions associated with toilets and clean-up facilities on construction projects, workers are often at risk for exposure to infectious diseases.  Poor sanitation is a major cause of occupational diseases and could pose a serious health risk.

The Infection Prevention and Control Training Program is suited for participants who work in health-care facilities. This course is designed to assist workers who are potentially at-risk from exposure to infections and diseases in the workplace, by providing information on the legislative requirements, employer/worker responsibilities, safe work practices, proper hygiene, needle safety and personal protective equipment.

The course will review common occupational diseases such as Norovirus, C.Difficile and Influenza; and procedures that should be implemented in the event of a pandemic/outbreak.

Performing Workplace Inspections

Workplace inspections are essential to determine what the potential and existing hazards are in the workplace, and establish methods to protect the workers.

The Performing Workplace Inspections course is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct an effective workplace inspection.

This course provides participants with insight on identifying hazards with any machinery, substances, production processes, working conditions and procedures in the workplace. Emphasizing on the key question “Can any potential hazards or accidents develop from this situation?”

Participants will develop an understanding for the planning required prior to conducting an inspection, the types of hazards, required documentation, inspection procedures, inspections reports and the follow-up.
