Hazard Analysis

Course Code (HAZ-01):
The Hazard Analysis course is designed to provide participants with the skills and understanding required to effectively recognize, assess, control and evaluate hazards in the workplace.

Hazard Analysis is a key component in creating a healthy and safe work environment, by identifying potential and existing hazards prior to an accident. This course focuses on the “R.A.C.E” Method for hazard analysis and using Hazard Management tools to determine the next applicable steps.

This course will introduce workers to risk management, the hierarchy of controls and applicable regulations. Participants will also learn about the different types of hazards, common sources of hazards and methods of controlling hazards.

This course is recommended for supervisors, employers, health and safety representatives and JHSC members.
