Labour Day 2018

Labour day was created to acknowledge and pay tribute to all workers what they have done to make our country prosperous and strong. The first labour day parade was  in New York City September 5, 1892. With many cities and countries making this a tradition for years to come.

It was in 1894 the congress passed a law making the first Monday of September a legal holiday. Celebrating with the family on this Labour day ,in Ontario brings with it a certain sense of achievement, pride, determination and fulfilment. The history of labour day and how it came about is quite an interesting story and we have Mr. Peter J McGuire to thank.
